November 23, 2007:
This particular incident involved a multiple alarm commercial structure fire.
There were several businesses destroyed as a result of this fire. Among the losses were a furniture store and a nightclub/bar.
Units from several surrounding municipalities were called in to assist on this job. In addition to all of the extra units, multiple refill and dump sites were established for the tanker shuttle system.
Engine units, ladder units, tanker units, rescue units, and EMS units from Shenandoah, Frackville, Ashland, William Penn, Shenandoah Heights, St Clair, Mahanoy City, Girardville, Ringtown, Butler Township, Pottsville, and many others provided support and assistance at this fire.
The Defender Hose Co was in a position at the rear of this structure throughout the night and during the following day.
